County Assembly Service Board Vacancies
The Nakuru County Assembly Service Board is a Corporate body established by Section 12 of the County  Governments Act. The Board is, interalia, mandated by law to constitute offices in the Service of the Assembly.
Consequently, the Board invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyans to fill the following vacant positions. All positions are Permanent and Pensionable.
Senior Hansard Editor (NKRUCASB 9) – One Position 
The position holder shall report and work under supervision and direction of the Deputy Clerk responsible for
Legislation and Committee Services of the Assembly
(a)Duties and Responsibilities 
(i) Responsible for co-ordination and production of the Hansard (Official Record of the County Assembly):
(ii) Editing transcribed records, processing manuscripts, preparing accurate drafts;
(iii) Maintaining a consistent and accurate Hansard publishing format;
(iv) Maintaining an accurate database of Hansard publication;
(v) Development and maintenance of policies, rules, standards and procedures governing Hansard production;
(vi) Maintaining links with Government Ministries/ Department, the public media, and other Commonwealth
Editors’ Associations and Unions;
(vii) Any other duties as may be assigned by the Clerk.
(b)Requirements for Appointment 
(i) Minimum of three (3) years work experience as a Hansard Reporter I
OR 
(ii) Three (3) years experience in publishing in the public sector or in a newspaper with national circulation;
(iii) Demonstrable knowledge and application of the Legislative Standing Orders and functional roles of
legislative committees;
(iv) Demonstrable management and organizational skills;
(v) A Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Languages, Secretarial studies or in Social Sciences.
Mandatory Requirement for all positions. Applicants to:
(i) Avail Certificates of clearance from Ethics & Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission, Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board and Criminal Investigation Department;
(ii) Meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;
(iii) Avail detailed Curriculum Vitae;
(iv) Copies of academic and professional qualifications.
