Engineering  Job Vacancies in Kenya 2013.
Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute (KEVEVAPI) is a State corporation established in 1990 under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
The Institute is charged with the responsibility of production, manufacturing, research and marketing of veterinary vaccines.
The Institute’s Board of Management seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative, result oriented and experienced persons to fill the following vacant positions:
Engineering Technicians III
VPI.7
Two Posts
Job Profile:
To provide professional, competent and efficient servicing and maintenance of the vaccines production plant and equipments. This includes maintenance and servicing of the existing plant and machinery, installations and commissioning new equipments.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection, repair and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment.
Inspection of works.
Installation and testing of plant and equipment.
Boiler operation and maintenance
design and construction of simple structures and inspection of works;
preparation of designs for buildings, plant and equipment and cost estimation;
Qualifications:
KCSE mean grade “C” or its equivalent.
Certificate in mechanical/electrical/electronic/refrigeration and air conditioning/ Building/Engineering Technician certificate or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Competences:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to make timely and quality judgments and decisions
Good interpersonal and team building skills necessary to drive initiatives and achieve results
Computer literate.
Remuneration:
Salary scale attached to the post is in the Institutes’ harmonized scale of VPI.7 plus other allowances commensurate to this position applicable in the Institute.
