Equitas International Human Rights Training Program: The International Human Rights Training Program is a three-week participatory training on human rights education conducted around June of every year for human rights educators.
The training is conducted in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The annual three-week training session brings together approximately 120 participants from over 60 countries.
The International Human Rights Training Program (IHRTP) provides a unique opportunity for human rights workers to deepen their understanding of human rights and of the essential role of human rights education in effecting change.
The International Human Rights Training Program (IHRTP) is intended for human rights workers and educators from non-governmental organizations, National Human Rights Institutions, government bodies and educational institutions.
The goal of the International Human Rights Training Program (IHRTP) is to strengthen the capacity of human rights organizations to undertake human rights education efforts aimed at building a global culture of human rights.
The curriculum is based on principles of adult experiential learning in which participants and facilitators engage in a process of mutual teaching and learning.
As recognized by the United Nations: Support includes partial or full costs depending on need basis and available funding.
Submit completed application form, curriculum vitae, letter of recommendation, letter of motivation and copies of certificates and diplomas.
