    The successful candidates will report to the Director General.
    Position Scope: To monitor and evaluate the delivery of works and services by undertaking technical audits to ensure that works are implemented in accordance with the required standards and quality to ensure value for money.
    Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare quality assurance plan.
  • Formulate quality assurance procedures for road works programmes.
  • Monitor and evaluate works activities under the Authority.
  • Undertake audits for works and services implemented by the Authority.
  • Prepare and present quality assurance findings, recommendations and conclusions to the Director General.
  • Take action on quality assurance findings, recommendations and conclusions as recommended by the Director General.
  • Undertake post audit reviews to confirm compliance with prior quality assurance recommendations.
  • Prepare and submit in a timely manner periodic reports to the Authority.
  • Identify areas of technical weaknesses and suggest remedial measures.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor work of the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Director General.
    Qualifications and Skills:
  • BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Registered engineer with Kenya Engineers Registration Board of Kenya.
  • Be a member of Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
  • A minimum of seven (7) years post registration experience three (3) of which should be in quality assurance.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Planning, Design, Construction and Maintenance of roads and bridges.
  • Demonstrable Knowledge of public procurement system and processes as used by Government of Kenya, multilateral and bilateral development partners.
  • Good communications skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage staff and provide good leadership.
  • Working ICT Knowledge for planning and design of Roads.
    The successful candidates may be required to work either at the Headquarter Offices or any other office in Kenya as may be determined from time to time.
