Nandi County Public Service Board Job Vacancies in Kenya - County Chief Officers

The posts will be one for each of the following portfolios:

  • Finance and Economic Planning
  • Youth, Gender, Sports and Social Services
  • Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries
  • Tourism, Culture and Co-operative Development
  • Education, Research and Vocational Training
  • Transport and Infrastructure
  • Lands, Environment and Natural Resources
  • Health and Sanitation
  • Devolved Units and Special Programmes
  • Trade, Investment and Industrial Development
  • Information and Communication Technology Duties and responsibilities
    The Chief Officer shall be;
  • The accounting and authorized officer in respect to the exercise of delegated powers and shall be responsible to the respective County Executive Member.
  • Responsible for Implementation of policies and development plans in the department
  • Responsible for Development and implementation of strategic plans in the department
  • Formulate and implement effective programs to vision 2030 and sector goals
  • Promote national values and principles of the County Public Service in the department Requirements for Appointment
  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Be a holder of a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya. Those with a Master’s degree have an added advantage.
  • Have knowledge, experience and distinguished career of not less than 10 years in the specific portfolio applied for. Please Note:
  • For a candidate to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, one must have the following current clearance certificates. 1. A certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
    2. A clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
    3. A tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
    4. A certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
