Our Client a leading ICT and Fleet Management company, is seeking to fill the following positions in Nairobi
Job Reference: FX/CRA/2013
Job Title: Control Room Attendant
Reports to: General Manager
The Control Room Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the control centre.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensuring that all vehicles fitted with the companies tracking devices are on the map each day and taking necessary action for those that are not on map
Ensure a detailed report of the vehicle not tracking is issued
Schedule rechecking /removal/reinstallation of tracking devices that have problems.
Prepare a report for all across border vehicles (Vehicles outside Kenya).
Preparing a top up list to ensure that all vehicles have been loaded with airtime-30th of the month
Assist customers to track physically or through calls made to us/them.
Support all legitimate external recovery efforts
Update Occurrence book, incidents, theft and recovery registers, repossession requests and filling of the same
Supporting customers by calling, sending logins, sending SMS
Update on the system calls made/received
Handling of all Major accounts
On rotation, taking the lunch hour shift, evening, night, Saturday afternoons and Sundays as allocated to you
Hand over to next shift any matters pending that require immediate follow up.
Answer all inquiries for the office regarding all matters and forward the information to the relevant desks for follow up and task execution.
Ensuring the management is kept updates with any and all information that is relevant and crucial to operations.
Timely and comprehensive report writing at the end of every shift.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma and K.C.S.E C – or equivalent.
Must be computer literate.
Must have the ability to understand maps and coordinate systems. Knowledge of Geographical locations in the region shall be a distinct advantage.
Must have the ability to use a GPS.
Must know the ICAO Phonetic alphabet and understand Radio protocols.
Must have good communication and decision making skills and the capacity to handle emergencies flawlessly.
Must have analytical skills and the ability to work to work under pressure.
Good oral communication skills.
Must have at least two years relevant experience and ability to monitor client’s vehicles and assets from multiple tracking platforms.
Experience in using any of the industry standard tracking software systems is a distinct advantage.
