A great opportunity to add a new dimension to your career. KK Security, a leading international safety, security & solutions provider, is looking for an assistant Project Manager. The role will be working with an international client in the Oil & Gas industry with high opportunity potential.
The successful applicant will assist the Project Manager and project teams in the control of the project schedule, cost and performance risks, to ensure that we exceed the client’s expectations. This position reports to the Project Manager.
Core Duties
• Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
• Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production; productivity; quality and customer-service standards. Resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements and implementing change.
• Accomplish human resource objectives by selecting, recruiting, inducting, assigning and scheduling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Enhance departmental and organisational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• University degree in a business related field
• 3 years work experience in project management
• Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages
• Demonstrated leadership managing people
• Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
• Excellent communication; leadership; problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to gain cooperation from senior management and other departments
• Developing budgets and tracking budget expenses
• Experience with NGOs and/or working in remote areas would be an advantage.
