Construction Officer
Our client is a new and upcoming company dealing in Glass. The company is looking for a construction officer.
The role of the construction officer is to turn the designers’ plans into fully functional pieces of equipment.
Job Responsibilities
Efficiently and effectively work to construct quality products in a timely, complete and profitable manner.
Work with sales as a team to market the product and offer explanations to customers•
Work in a team to develop a program of work and strategy for making a project happen.
Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, for example, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials
Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health, safety and the environment are adhered to
Using construction management software packages to plan smooth work flows
Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management
Two (2) years experience in construction or structural engineering fields
Strong analytical skills and attention to details
Good written/verbal communication skills
Systems knowledge and familiarity
Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task
