Summary:
Our client is looking for a Staff Product Manager.
Job Objective
The Staff Product Manager provides expertise and support to help develop a market-driven product family, taking ownership of key tasks that address technical and financial outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
• Helps with analysis to identify market problems quantify the opportunity size and potential for profitability, and then articulates the problem to the rest of the organization.
• Contributes to the development of effective strategies and tactics for addressing target markets. Engages with the market throughout all stages of a product family’s lifecycle.
• Participates in meetings with target market customers and prospects to gather market requirements (business and technical) as well as develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and key market influencers.
• Supports customer visits and interactions to gather feedback on current and future directions.
• Assists in the development of the strategic vision for a product, capitalizing on long-range market and/or technology trends.
• Assists in the presentation and/or demonstration of a product vision and value proposition to stakeholders (e.g. – customers, partners, and analysts), capturing feedback for collaborative analysis with others.
• Supports designers and developers to translate prioritized market requirements to development plans (e.g. – with stakeholder maps, user stories, personas, market requirements documents).
• Teams with sales, presales, and lab services to understand, refine and validate requirements.
• Confirms requirements are addressed by the delivered solution.
• Helps to identify product offering weaknesses or go-to-market execution issues and recommends actions or remediation proposals.
• Maintains the product roadmap.
• Identifies market opportunities and helps develop the business rationale, including financial forecasts and risk assessments.
• Manages the product and supports strategic planning to tactical activities and help define delivery. Responsible for the overall coordination of resources necessary to serve target market segments.
• May assist early adopters of new products and contribute to customer references.

• Identifies prioritized requirements to ensure product success.
• Helps support determining which products (or product components) should be made, bought, or delivered through a partnership arrangement.
• Identifies inflections points in product line lifecycles, supporting end of life and end of marketing plans.
• Engages with finance and pricing to discuss product performance, gaps, and opportunities.
• Discusses requirements with development and updates requirements to reflect feedback.
• Works with development to facilitate optimal resource allocation based on market priorities and business limitations (e.g. - market window, budget, skills), actively engaging in tradeoff discussions between capability and schedule.
• Documents when requirements will be implemented in the product roadmap.
• Understands operational (e.g. – development status, effectiveness of marketing programs, sales success), business (e.g. – product growth, profitability, sales success, customer satisfaction), and market indicators (e.g. – market share, market growth, market acceptance) for their products/product families.
• Understands serviceability issues with the product and anticipates customer challenges.
• Participate in regular win/loss data analysis.
• Responsible for defining and driving specific initiatives that require cooperation with development staff or marketing specialists.
• Responsible for a product’s entire life-cycle, from definition to delivery.
