General Manager Operations
Location: Kampala, Uganda
A distinguished mobile money agency that provides a series of ultra
modern products and services as an agent of a mobile network operator,
seeks to extend both the size and the scope of its business by expanding
into additional geographical markets, products and services, initially
by expanding its mobile money service offering.General Manager Operations
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Key Responsibilities:-
Developing, implementing and monitoring the company’s overall strategy and ensure continuous business process improvement and roll out of new outlets and products.
Overall accountability for efficient delivery of all the company’s mobile money operations.
Ensuring all agents comply to applicable AML and ‘Know Your Client (KYC)’ procedures and relevant mobile money requirements.
Safety and security management by ensuring up to date physical and logical security policies, ensuring fraud management and implementing business continuity plans and ensuring the safety of staff.
Overall accountability for ensuring that there are appropriate systems of internal control to mitigate operational risks.
Maintaining good relations with the network operator to ensure optimal service availability to the till and closely monitor and report incidences of service down time.
Management of and setting the standards, policies and procedures for master agency operating lines.
Together with the Finance Manager (FM), the GMO will be accountable for the business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, including coordinating and integrating strategic and business plans and decision making.
Lead, inspire and coach the operations team and ensure development of a high performing team.
Liaise with the MD, the FM and stakeholders in the identification and development of new profitable revenue streams for the company.
Develop and communicate company financial targets including top line revenue growth, cost containment and net income.
Develop the company’s policies and procedures and make amendments where necessary.
Required:-
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
Preferably augmented with an MBA.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh220,000/= to Ksh300,000/=
