Samburu County Hiring 9 Chief Officers


  • Finance Economic planning and Marketing.
  • Agriculture, Livestock, Veterinary and Fisheries.
  • Medical Services, Public Health and Sanitation.
  • Environment and Natural Resource.
  • County Transport and Public Works.
  • Education youth Affairs and Sports.
  • Cooperative Development, Tourism, Trade, Industry and Enterprise Development.
  • Physical Planning and Housing.
  • Culture Social Services and Gender.
    Terms of Service: Contract.
    Basic Salary Ksh.120,000- 196,270 pm,
    House Allowance ksh.60,000,
    Commuter Ksh.20,000.
    Other Allowances - Annual Leave p.a and Medical Cover.
    Duties and Responsibilities.
    The County Chief Officers shall be the authorized officer in respect of exercise of delegated powers and shall be responsible to respective county Executive Member for:
  • The administration of County respective department.
  • Implementation of Policies and Department Plans.
  • Development and Implementation of Strategic Plan.
  • Formulate and implement effective programmes to attain vision 2030 and sector goal.
  • Promote National values and principles of Governance and values and principles of the public services.
    Requirements for Appointment.
  • Be a Kenyan Citizen.
  • Be a holder of at least a first Degree from a university Recognized in Kenya and relevant with job applied for.
  • Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya.
  • Have knowledge, experience and distinguished career of not less than Ten(10) years in the specific area applied for.
  • Understand diversity within the County
  • Senior Management Course or strategic Leadership Development programme is an added advantage.
  • Masters degree in the relevant field applied for is an added advantage.
    How to Apply
    1. All applications should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked on top left side, indicating the position applied for and submitted to: The Secretary,

    Maralal.

    2. Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the office of the County Public Service board located at Samburu Central District Education office Building Maralal.
    3. All the applications should reach the Secretary on or before 2nd December, 2013.
    4. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original: identity cards, academic and Professional Certificates and testimonials,and shall be the only ones to be contacted.
