TANATHI Water Services Board (herein after referred to as ‘TAWSB’) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources created under Section 51 of the Water Act, 2002 vide Legal Notice No. 69 dated 4th June, 2008.

TAWSB is one of the eight Water Services Boards created to bring about efficiency, economy and sustainability in the Provision of Water and Sewerage Services in Kenya.

TAWSB has the mandate of ensuring efficient and economical provision of water and sewerage services in its area of jurisdiction which includes thirty eight administrative Districts in four Counties namely Kitui, Machakos, Makueni and Kajiado.

TAWSB wishes to recruit dynamic and result driven professionals to fill the following positions in its duly appointed Water Services Provider namely Nol-Turesh Loitokitok Water and Sanitation Company Ltd:

Internal Auditor

Duties and Responsibilities
Verifying utilization of Board’s resources;
Carrying out audit checks to verify payments; ensuring validity and accuracy of payments and purchases;
Implementing financial and resource use policies and regulations;
Developing internal audit control systems;
Undertaking audit investigations as may be required;
Preparing audit plans and reports; and following up on implementation of recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
Served in a relevant and comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Part III of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
Proficiency in MS office.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
