Senior Information Systems & Security Audit Officer
Overall Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Senior Information Systems Audit Officer / Senior Information Security Officer will be responsible for regular review and evaluation of automated information processing systems, related nonautomated processes and the interfaces between them to ensure that information system controls are in place and that laid down Information System policies and procedures are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Information Security Officer / Senior Information Systems Audit Officer will carry out the following duties and responsibilities;
In charge of the Information System audit function of the Internal Audit Department.
Develop and implement the annual Information Systems audit plan.
Assuring that the Bank develops and maintains sound Information System policies and procedures that minimize risks without compromising efficiency.
Assess the risks inherent in the bank’s information systems and recommend measures to mitigate them.
Provide investigation services whenever required.
Evaluate the bank’s compliance with internal information system policies, procedures and operating instructions.
Conduct regular and surprise inspection of all procedures, policies and processes ensuring that they comply with all statutory requirements and best practice.
Evaluate business continuity and disaster recovery including back up procedures, BC and DR plans, tests, sites, and usability.
Evaluate and report on system infrastructure and life cycle management.
Review system development, acquisition and maintenance.
Ensure change management principles are followed.
Provide support to other assurance processes to ensure the overall opinion incorporates the risks identified in the underlying information systems.
Monitor the implementation &operation of defined controls and recommendations on an ongoing basis.
Assist the Risk department with technical expertise to ensure ICT risks are well managed.
Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders, Unit Heads and staff.
Any other duty within the scope of this position.

Qualifications and competencies
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or IT related degree course.
CISA, CISM and a Higher Dip in computer science and/or IT related courses
Cisco certifications i.e. CCNA and CCSP.
Advanced ACL skills.
5 years experience in information systems audit of which a minimum of 2 must be in a reputable audit firm and 3 in internal audit.
Excellent report writing skills
Broad knowledge of operations and systems as well as internal audit procedures.
Superior knowledge of computer systems and computerized accounting.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and obtain results.
Honesty and high level of integrity.
Strong leadership, decision-making and management as well as team building abilities – including well developed strategic perspective and forward planning ability.
Attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
